}create_receipt_upload
Issue a single-use binary PUT upload URL on Coil's domain, valid for 10 minutes. Supply original fileName, mimeType, exact sizeBytes, and preferably SHA-256. Use curl --data-binary from the original file in your shell, not base64 or reconstructed text. The upload hostname must be allowlisted. Before expiry, redeem uploadId with create_receipt for a new receipt or add_receipt_files to append to an existing receipt. A retry of this tool returns the same URL; use a new requestId only to intentionally request a new upload.
POST/api/automation/create_receipt_upload
Required scopes: receipts:write
| Field | Type | Required | Bounds and defaults |
|---|---|---|---|
| requestId | string | Yes | min length: 8; max length: 128 Unique identifier for this write. Reuse it with identical inputs when retrying; never generate a new identifier for a retry. |
| fileName | string | Yes | min length: 1; max length: 200 |
| mimeType | string | Yes | one of: image/jpeg, image/png, image/webp, image/heic, image/heif, application/pdf |
| sizeBytes | integer | Yes | min: 1; max: 3145728 |
| sha256 | string | No | See full schema |
Result: uploadId, uploadUrl, PUT method/headers, sizeBytes, expiresAt, and singleUse. Treat uploadUrl as a credential.

Update supplied lot fields with its current expectedUpdatedAt: source, acquiredAt, bestByDate (null clears it), costBasisType, estimationNotes, notes, salesTaxReviewed, salesTaxPaid, productSubtotal, salesTaxAmount, or shippingAmount. Confirm tax status with salesTaxReviewed:true and salesTaxPaid:true/false; paid tax requires a positive amount, while an unpaid decision requires no positive amount. }add_receipt_items
Add purchase items to an existing product receipt, creating products/lots/units or linking existing lots. Search first to avoid duplicates. New-lot items accept bestByDate and per-lot salesTaxAmount; use salesTaxReviewed:true with salesTaxPaid:false to confirm no tax was charged. Requires receipts:write and inventory:receive, plus products:write for new products. Prices are per lot; unitCount is units per lot. This is not a sales import.
POST/api/automation/add_receipt_items
Required scopes: receipts:writeinventory:receive
Purchase/link items also require inventory:receive; embedded new products require products:write.

}get_dashboard
Read revenue, COGS, card fees, platformFees, location expenses, profit, taxes and payouts for inclusive workspace-local dates. Returns resolved UTC period.start/end (end exclusive) and period.timeZone. Recorded platform fees use service-day proration and reduce opted-in net-share payouts using saved allocation terms; gross shares are unchanged. Other location expenses reduce profit, not commission. Negative payouts remain informational, never charges or carry-forwards. Requires reports:read.
POST/api/automation/get_dashboard
Required scopes: reports:read
| Field | Type | Required | Bounds and defaults |
|---|---|---|---|
| dateFrom | string | Yes | See full schema Inclusive first calendar date in the workspace time zone. |
| dateTo | string | Yes | See full schema Inclusive last calendar date in the workspace time zone; the response end is the next local midnight (exclusive). |
Result: Calculated period metrics and location summaries, including COGS, card fees, platformFees, locationExpenses, taxes and payouts. Platform fees use recorded service-day proration and reduce opted-in net-share payouts using allocation snapshots. Ordinary location expenses use receiptDate. Both reduce profit, including expense-only locations. Per-location netProfit is before payout; profitAfterPayout also subtracts payout owed.

}get_location_payout_report
Read location-facing payouts for workspace-local dates. Summary separates card and platform fees; itemSummaries groups every selected-location sale by product while sales remains paged full detail. Platform fees reduce opted-in net-share payouts using recorded allocation terms; gross shares and other location expenses do not change commission. No net profit or tax liabilities. Supply locationId for item/full detail. Missing stock costs can change payouts. Negative payouts are informational. Requires reports:read; creates no receipts/payments.

}preview_sales_import
Stage up to 500 normalized sale lines from a vendor report (Haha, BuzzBot, VTM, Nayax, or manual) without changing data. Parse the report yourself, drop declined/failed vends, and send each completed transaction line. Map products with list_products and list_sales_mappings; pass productId plus productKey (and machineId plus machineKey) so Coil remembers the mapping on apply. Unknown machines or products block the preview; ask the user to create or map them, never invent records. Coil resolves tax (separately listed tax is recorded as collected and flagged if it disagrees with the location rate; otherwise tax is backed out of the price), card fees, duplicates (by externalTransactionId or fingerprint), refunds, and which units sell (machine, then location, then warehouse; earliest expiry/purchase first). Units with no stock are flagged as needing stock. Review summary and warnings with the user before apply_sales_import. Previews expire after 24 hours. Requires sales:write.

Result: importId, expiresAt, canApply, summary (units, unitsAllocated, unitsNeedingStock, saleAmount, salesTax, cardFees, duplicate/error/refund counts, unknownMachines, unknownProducts), and per-line status, issues, and warnings. No sales are recorded yet.
